How to make a Figure of 8 knot

This is a very useful knot to know how to tie it is easier to untie than other knots

when it is wet.

step (1) form  a loop. in the middle of your rope.

Step (2) twist your loop to the left.

Step (3) put  your left  rope in the top circle of your loop.

Lastly pull the 2 ropes together and you will have your Figure of 8 knot.

How the giraffe got there spots & there long neck.


Many many years ago giraffes didn't have spots and they didn’t have long necks infact they just looked like a yellow sun bleached horse.

One sparkly night the giraffe named Jewel couldn't sleep so she put on her warmest, fluffiest, spotted onesie, that always made her go to sleep. But later that night she felt something funny in her onesie and it was stuck to her so she pulled and stretched. Infact she stretched so much that her neck became longer, longer and longer. It had stretched so much that it was twice the size of its body. But the onesie wouldn't come off so she sat on her bed and cried.

While she was crying something magical happened, Stumble the sleeping god had just woken up from a deep sleep and watched Jewel cry. This is when he decided he had had enough so he flew down and said, “Abra Cadabra, make the onesie come off in a tick. “ There was a clatter and a bang and with that the onesie dissolved. The giraffe stopped crying but the spots from the onesie were still stained on Jewel’s skin.

 So that is how giraffes got their spots and their long neck.
So when you see a giraffe in the zoo with spots and a long neck you know what really happened.

  We did our class Production today and it went really well.
 When we got to class we all put on our costumes ready to go.
 I wore 1/ lab coat 1/ pair of glasses and 1/ wig, I really looked like a funky mad scientist.
I felt so nervous, I felt so scared  while I was on stage because I hadn't been on a stage for ages. But it was really creepy because afterwards I wanted to go on stage again.
My question was why do we have day and night this is what I said.
No no we have day and night because there is a humongous ball of fireflies going round and round the earth. But there was a fantail in the hall so it was a bit hard to concentrate.

 At the start we had a few problems with the microphone that made really nervous. Erin firstly said her part then me and next Shannon.

 But it was a bit bizarre because the lady who was videoing us didn't video all of it because when I put my hands up to show that I won that round she didn't video that part any way we don't have to be fussy.

 And then all of us came out the other end which lead to backstage again and all 3 of us gave our lab coats to someone who needed them to walk on stage with and then waited till it was there turn. Then we all carried on with the rest of the day like a normal school assembly.

Beach poetry

         

  I see  salty water floating through the waves                                                     

                                                  I can smell sandcastles and BBQ'S burning hot sausages and

                                                 meatballs

                                                 I hear people laughing as they rinse off

                                                 

                                                I feel wet sand crunching between my feet

                                               I taste ice cream rushing down my throat

                                               I think of a nice summer vacation.
